Goodbye, Singapore

I’m sitting here in the middle of the night after just having fed my 2 month old, thinking about our time in Singapore. That time has now come to an end. We leave in a few days for Geneva, Switzerland, hoping to call that “home” for the foreseeable future.

We’ve been in Singapore almost 3 years. Crazy to think how time has flown. We’ve had a lot of great experiences while we have been here, met a lot of great people. In this short amount of time we’ve traveled around the region and beyond, explored all over this little island, and had a baby! Our little one is a Singaporean born angel and will always remind us of what a wonderful experience we had here.

This week we are focusing on telling all of the people we love “goodbye for now”.  Goodbyes are always hard, but as an expat you learn that they are inevitable. People are transient, and life moves on, but you’ve got to work to keep the relationships. Don’t let them falter. To those of you, and you know who you are, who we are going to miss beyond belief, it’s definitely not “goodbye” for you. We will miss you – miss getting to spend days with you, going to fun dinners, Universal Studios :), on trips, and everything in between – but we know we’ll meet again soon. We have to.

Au revoir pour le moment, Singapour.
